Your digital passport to our “blue backyard”

The Moreton Bay Passport is now in development (Android, iPhone) as a downloadable app. The Passport is an interactive map and quest platform designed to help people discover local places, support coastal businesses and learn the natural and cultural stories of the Bay. Every quest completed earns points and digital stamps that can be redeemed for rewards – while deepening community connection to this incredible place.

Brought to you by The Moreton Bay Foundation and Enviroquest

The Moreton Bay Passport is a collaboration between TMBF and Enviroquest, created to spark adventure and inspire our community to experience and celebrate the Bay’s remarkable ecological, cultural, social, and economic values.

This launch is a major step forward for TMBF’s mission to secure a thriving, healthy Bay through leadership, partnerships and community action – and you are invited to be part of it. To get involved as a participant, prize supporter or quest destination, register your interest here and follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

How it works for users

Explore  •  Earn  •  Enjoy

Start your adventure in three simple steps.

Once the Passport is live, you’ll be able to:

  1. Sign up for free on the Passport website and create your profile.

  2. Visit Quest locations, such as shorebird hides, wetlands, beaches, cafés, and parks, to complete quest objectives, such as scanning QR codes or uploading photos.

  3. Earn points, badges and stamps for exploring the Bay’s natural beauty and supporting local businesses.

As you explore, your points will accumulate and can be redeemed for rewards such as discounts, vouchers, special offers, or Passport merchandise.

How it works for local businesses

The Passport will feature local businesses on its interactive map, directing users straight to your door. Social media spotlights and digital storytelling amplify your visibility and help build relationships with locals and visitors.

Go one step further

Participating businesses that offer rewards in the Passport Shop will be featured in extra “business spotlight” social media posts, launch countdowns and other promotional activities. How it works for local community groups

Showcase your impact through Featured Quests

Community stewardship groups – such as bushcare teams, citizen-science groups, catchment groups and wildlife volunteers – can take part in the Passport by hosting Featured Quests. These quests highlight your events, restoration projects, monitoring activities or education sites, directing Passport users straight to where meaningful community action is happening.

Featured Quests help attract new volunteers, build awareness of your work, and inspire more people to care for and protect the Bay.
