Samantha Capon

Sam has over 25 years’ experience working in conservation and restoration of Australian wetland ecosystems. With experience across government, academia and industry, Sam is currently Senior Principal NRM Consultant with Eco Logical Australia Pty Ltd. and an adjunct Associate Professor with the Australian Rivers Institute at Griffith University. Sam is deeply committed to ensuring that environmental decision-making is informed by robust and accessible science, alongside other knowledge and value systems. She has a PhD in Ecology from Griffith University and a Masters in philosophy from the University of New England. Born in Brisbane, Sam has a long-term connection to Moreton Bay.
